What you can expect

Gear up for the ultimate Gold Coast adventure with a hot air balloon flight and a jet boat ride. Whether you do both on the same day or spread them out, the choice is yours.

Your day begins with complimentary transfers from your accommodation early as friendly guides take you to the balloon launch site before dawn. Hop aboard with your expert pilot and float over the countryside, taking in views of the Gold Coast Hinterland and Scenic Rim from above. After your peaceful flight, the fun continues with everyone pitching in to pack up the balloon. Then, it's off to an exclusive boutique vineyard for a hot breakfast and a sparkling wine toast.

When you’re ready for some thrills, it's time to head to the Sea World Marine Precinct for your free Arro Jet Boat ride. Setting off from the high-speed zone in the Broadwater hold on tight as the skilled pilot takes you on an adrenaline-pumping journey with high-speed turns and 360 spins. It's an exhilarating ride you won’t soon forget.

Time
  • Hot air ballooning and vineyard breakfast begins between 3.50 am to 4.30 am and concludes between 9.45 am to 10.30 am
Duration
  • For the Arro Jet experience allow 45 minutes for the full experience including the safety briefing
  • For the hot air balloon experience please allow approximately six hours in total including the vineyard breakfast and 40 - 65 minute flight
Departure Location
  • Hot air balloon pickup is available from accommodation in Surfers Paradise, Broadbeach, Main Beach alternatively meet at Nerang or Canungra
  • Arro Jet experience departs from the Sea World Cruise Terminal
What To Bring
  • Bring a jacket and please avoid white clothes
  • Hat, sunglasses and camera
  • If your flight time is from April to October (in winter), you need to wear warm clothes to prevent the cold; in other months, there will be warm airflow due to the burning of hot air balloons
Additional Information
  • Hot air ballooning is contingent upon suitable weather conditions. Should we have to cancel due to unfavourable weather: If you decide not to rebook or cannot find an alternative date for the ballooning experience, the Arro Jet experience will still be available for you on the scheduled afternoon, however, the cost of the Arro Jet Experience will no longer be included and the standard retail price of the Jetboat tour will be deducted from the original payment when processing your refund.
  • If the Arro Jet Boat experience is cancelled by the operator, the ticket is not refundable or transferable.
  • If you reschedule hot air ballooning, attend the Arro Jet experience before the rescheduled date, and subsequently decide to cancel the balloon ride within the acceptable cancellation timeframe, a refund is available. However, the regular retail price of the Arro Jet experience will be deducted from this refund.
Terms And Conditions
  • Children under 3 years old cannot participate
  • Children 5 - 13 years old must be accompanied by an adult
  • Children aged 14 -17 years can travel on the balloon flight by themselves but must be accompanied by a responsible adult for the duration of the tour.
  • You must be able to climb up the 1.2-meter foothold ladder into the hot air balloon basket without assistance.
  • You must be able to stand for the duration of the flight
  • Pregnant women and those who participated in diving the previous day are not suited to this activity.
  • Passengers with medical conditions or who have accessibility issues, please check with your doctor or specialist prior to booking
  • At no time will a passenger be allowed to fly if their judgment is impaired by alcohol, drugs, or prescription medicine
  • Due to weight and safety restrictions, handbags and backpacks may not be carried on the hot air balloon. Please do not bring large bags
  • Unless the camera fails, digital photos will be provided on every flight. If the camera fails, no compensation or refund will be given
  • Please note that the timings might be adjusted due to seasonal changes, and the specific schedule is subject to the reservation confirmation you received
  • It is recommended that you wear long pants and closed-in shoes - no heels, slippers or skirts, please
Cancellation Policy
  • Change your booking up to 48 hours before the start time of your experience
  • Changes are not permitted within 48 hours of your experience
  • Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience

  • Confirmation in the form of a tour voucher will be received at time of booking
  • Upon completion of purchase, please print the voucher and present on day of the experience
  • Mobile Vouchers are accepted! - Vouchers can also be presented on your mobile device for this attraction
